<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing ink composition exhibiting printability as ink for reverse offset printing, and providing a coated film having strength sufficient as a color filter; and to provide a method for producing the color filter by using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The printing ink composition used for the reverse offset printing method comprising (I) a coating step for forming a coated face by coating the printing ink composition containing a coloring matter, a binder polymer, a crosslinking material and a solvent on a silicone resin face, (II) a removing step for transferring and removing the ink composition to a protruded part of a relief by pressing the relief formed into a prescribed shape to the coated face, and (III) a transferring step for transferring the ink composition remaining on the coated face to a substrate provides hardness equal to or harder than the pencil hardness of H after heating.
