PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To block the incidence of light on transistors and to prevent occurrence of light leakage. SOLUTION: The electrooptical apparatus comprising the switching transistors in correspondence to the intersections of a plurality of scanning lines and a plurality of data lines, includes: a semiconductor layer which is formed on a substrate and constitutes the transistors; one or more metal layers which are provided on the layer different from the semiconductor layer; and an antireflection layer which is provided on the face opposite to the semiconductor layer of the first metal layer most proximate to the semiconductor layer among the one or more metal layers and is flatly formed so as to cover the channel region in at least the semiconductor layer.
