PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in power consumption and to attain improvement in communicability in a radio communication apparatus which sequentially performs capture operations on a plurality of communication system networks. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a radio communication apparatus which comprises a communication means for performing radio communication through a communication connection with any one of a plurality of communication system networks and a capture control means for controlling the communication means to sequentially perform captures, in accordance with priorities, on the plurality of communication system networks at intervals of a predetermined time and in which the communication means performs the communication connection with a communication system network which successes the capture. The radio communication apparatus includes a communication failure detection means for detecting a communication failure on each of the communication system networks, and a predetermined time setting means for setting the predetermined time for each communication system network based on a degree of the communication failure, and the capture control means controls the communication means to perform a capture on each communication system network in response to the lapse of the predetermined time set by the predetermined time setting means.
