PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable either information set by a living room master unit or information set by a controller to be selected and stored as various settings necessary for the living room master unit on the basis of a difference in setting mode between a controller and the living room master unit. SOLUTION: In a collective housing interphone system, only when a first living room information, or various settings, such as a switch from use to nonuse of a recording function to record conversation voices that are inputted or outputted through the telephone conversation means 200 and 201 of living rooms 2a and 2b and another switch, indicated on a display means 202, from Japanese to English are set by a living room setting means 203 and not previously stored in a storage means 206, various settings are carried out by the controller setting means 500 of a controller 5, and a second living room information selected by a selecting means 4 is stored as effective information in a storage unit. The various settings are performed by the controller setting means 500 of the controller 5 independently of whether the first living room information is previously stored in the storage means 206 or not, and the second living room information selected by the selecting means 4 is considered as an effective information and stored in the storage unit.
