PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp an empty state of a refrigerant cylinder without using a scale or the like in refrigerant charging work. SOLUTION: This air conditioner for charging a refrigerant by using the refrigerant cylinder, comprises a refrigerant circuit, a charge port, a downstream temperature sensor, an outdoor-side control portion, and a display portion. The refrigerant circuit is composed of a compressor, an outdoor-side heat exchanger, an indoor-side expansion valve and an indoor-side heat exchanger. The charge port is a port for charging the refrigerant from the cylinder to the refrigerant circuit. The downstream temperature sensor is disposed on a position near the charge port, of the refrigerant circuit. The outdoor-side control portion determines whether the cylinder becomes empty or not on the basis of the change of at least one of the temperature detected by the downstream temperature sensor and the degree of superheating.
