PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower of easy maintenance and capable of taking motor cooling air from the inside of a spiral casing part. SOLUTION: The blower comprises a blowing case and a motor storage housing formed separately. The spiral casing part has an expansion portion expanding to the opposite side to a suction port beyond a centrifugal flowing fan in the axial direction. The motor storage housing has a holding part storing and holding a motor, an extension part extending from the holding part outward to the radial direction of the fan, a peripheral wall part formed ranging from the extension part to form the inner peripheral wall of the expansion portion of the spiral casing part, and a cooling air duct provided between the holding part and the peripheral wall part for guiding part of an air flow distributing in the spiral casing part as cooling air to the motor. The cooling air duct has an inlet opening portion provided in the peripheral wall part for air to flow therein from the spiral casing part and an outlet opening portion provided in the holding part for air to flow therefrom to the motor.
