PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve decoding characteristics irrespective of noise characteristics. SOLUTION: A data detection section 60 detects a data sequence by using SOVA and DDNP-SOVA. A generation section 62 generates a plurality of signal sequences by using a plurality of detected data sequences. A selection section 64 sequentially selects one of the plurality of generated signal sequences as the decoding target of decoding processing. The selection section 64 increases the speed of signal processing by preferentially targeting a data sequence highly likely to be error-corrected for decoding in the decoding processing.
