PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology effective for maintaining a sealing function of a sealing member in an impact tool. SOLUTION: This impact tool 101 includes: a housing 107; a tool bit 119; a tool holder 137; a driving mechanism part 113; the sealing member 153; and an outer member 155. The sealing member 153 is provided in a gap C formed between the housing 107 and the tool holder 137 disposed in an internal space 108 of the housing 107, thereby preventing leakage of a lubricant in the internal space. The outer member 155 is disposed on the outside of the housing 107, and the housing 107 is provided with a covering part 155a integrally formed extending from the tip of the housing 107 to wrap round the tool holder 137 to cover the sealing member 153 from the outside. The covering part 155a prevents the sealing member 153 from slipping-off from the gap C, and achieves dust-proofing to the sealing member 153. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
