PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiration assisting utensil which can promote a nasal respiration by effectively expanding the nostrils, and in addition, is surely held in the nostrils, does not easily slip off, and is excellent in the wearing feeling as well. SOLUTION: This respiration assisting utensil is made of an elastic material having flexibility, and consists of a pair of cylindrical bodies 1 and 1 which are inserted into the nostrils and expands the nostrils, and a stopper 2 which connects the rear ends of the cylindrical bodies 1 and 1 with each other. An expansion section 3 which expands to the outside is formed on the end side of each cylindrical body 1. The expansion section 3 is formed over a specified angular range at a part in the circumferential direction of the cylindrical body 1.
