<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus in which the amount of the radiation exposure of a subject is lessened and moreover a tomographic image, etc. with a fully high resolution about a domain of interest is obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus has an X-ray source which irradiates X rays to the subject, a beam limiting running gear which controls the irradiation region of the X rays, a multi-slice detector which is prepared in an opposing relation to the X-ray source and detects the irradiated X rays through the subject, a wide area projection data control section which irradiates the X rays from the X-ray source to a wide area controlled by the beam limiting running gear and acquires wide area projection data up to the circumference region of the multi-slice detector, a wide area projection data storage means which memorizes the wide area projection data, a control means for acquiring narrow area projection data which irradiates the X rays by the X-ray source to a narrow area controlled by the beam limiting running gear after acquiring the wide area projection data and acquires narrow area projection data in the central region of the multi-slice detector, and a restructuring means which forms projection data composed from the wide area projection data memorized by the wide area projection data storage means and the narrow area projection data and performs reconstruction from the compound projection data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
