<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining method capable of machining a penetrating groove 24 having the width W smaller than the diameter D of the focused laser beam and the length L larger than the diameter D of the focused laser beam. <P>SOLUTION: In the laser beam machining method for machining the required width W and the required length L, a thin stainless steel 20 with a penetrating groove 24 of the width W smaller than the diameter D of the focused laser beam and the length L larger than the diameter of the focused laser beam is placed on a work 26, and the laser beams 18 move on a portion of the penetrating groove 24 of the stainless steel 20 to machine a groove or the penetrating groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
