摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent racing of an engine while reducing shift shock by selecting a shift pattern to a lower step according to an engaging state of a friction engaging element of a higher step. SOLUTION: In the case that a 3-2 shift change is requested, whether a friction engaging element 31 involved in a third range which is a high speed range is engaged or not is determined by evaluating that the following formula is true or false; "a third range output time Time0 (elapsed time after an output instruction for a shifting action to the third range is issued)≥a predetermined time Time1". In the case that it is engaged, downshift is conducted from the third range to a second range via a first range in which a one-way clutch 50 is actuated.
