PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which can detect a state of a small ink residual quantity as ink empty in the ink cartridge that is inserted and set from the horizontal direction, and which enables ink to smoothly flow by reducing effects to a flow of the ink. SOLUTION: An attachment position of a mounting shaft 472a of a sensor arm 470 and an arm holding part 425 of a frame part 110 to each other is set lower than a detecting part 140 and upper than an ink supplying part 120. At the same time, the attachment position is located rearer (inside direction of the frame part 110) than a supplying path forming part 420. Therefore, a balance part 471 can rotate to the vicinity of a bottom face and can detect the state of little ink as ink empty. The balance part 471 is present at a position isolated from the supplying path forming part 420, and consequently can reduce the effects to the flow of the ink. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
