PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a registration procedure of network setting information to a power line communication modem. SOLUTION: The network setting information is previously registered in a memory (26) of a PLC modem device (20). A control circuit (24) is designed to read out the network setting information from the memory (26), and to add to a light emitting device (28) by a predetermined indication. A light receiving element (48) of a PLC modem device (40) is designed to convert the light signal into electric signal, and to add to a control circuit (44). The control circuit (44) is designed to demodulate the network setting information from the electric signal, to store into a memory (46), and to set to the PLC modem device (40).
