PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impedance converting apparatus whose size in a direction orthogonal to a direction for a transmission line to extend is made small while suitable for being inserted into a stacked pair type transmission line. SOLUTION: A first conductor 11 and a second conductor 12 constitute the transmission line having a first characteristic impedance, the first conductor 11 and a third conductor 13 constitute the transmission line having a second characteristic impedance, the second conductor 12 and a fourth conductor 14 constitute the transmission line having the second characteristic impedance, the third conductor 13 and the fourth conductor 14 constitute the transmission line having the first characteristic impedance, an output side end portion 12e of the second conductor 12 and the output side end portion 14e of the fourth conductor 14 are connected by a first resistor 15 having a resistance value equal to the first characteristic impedance, and an input side end portion of the third conductor 13 and the input side end portion 14d of the fourth conductor 14 are connected by a second resistor 16 having the resistance value equal to the second characteristic impedance.
