PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition which improves the quality of foams. SOLUTION: The detergent composition comprises (A) a specific alkylphosphoric acid monoester salt and (B) at least one kind selected from the group consisting of (b1) a quaternary ammonium salt represented by formula (2) (wherein R<SP>2</SP>is a 14-22C hydrocarbon group; R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>, are each a 1-3C alkyl group or hydroxyalkyl group; and Z<SP>-</SP>is an anion group which forms an ion pair with a quaternary ammonium ion), (b2) a carboxybetaine represented by formula (3) (wherein R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are the same as defined above; R<SP>6</SP>is a 14-22C hydrocarbon group; and R<SP>7</SP>is a 1-3C alkylene group or a hydroxyalkylene group), and (b3) a sulfobetaine represented by formula (4) (wherein R<SP>3</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>, and R<SP>7</SP>are the same as defined above, and R<SP>8</SP>is a 14-22C hydrocarbon group), and has a pH of 2.0-8.0.
