PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cell-free protein synthesis with which changes in synthesized protein configurations, adhesion of the proteins to a membrane and clotting of the membrane are avoided and a large scale synthesis can be simply carried out. SOLUTION: (1) The cell protein synthesizing reaction liquid containing a support including captured synthesized proteins is recovered from the protein synthesis system and the synthesized proteins are separated from the support. Then preferably, the cell free protein synthesis reaction liquid, from which the support capturing the synthesized proteins is recovered, is returned to the protein synthesizing system and the protein synthesis is carried out two or more times. (2) Only the support capturing the synthesized proteins is recovered from the cell free protein synthesizing reaction liquid and the protein synthesis is carried out in two or more times using the cell free protein synthesizing liquid after the support is recovered.
