<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting control device for an internal combustion engine, capable of quickly starting the internal combustion engine while stably burning alcohol mixed fuel at starting the engine. <P>SOLUTION: The starting control device is applied for the internal combustion engine 1 which can use alcohol mixed fuel containing alcohol. It comprises a variable valve train 20 for changing a timing for closing an intake valve 11 of the internal combustion engine 1, and an alcohol concentration sensor 32 for acquiring alcohol concentration in the alcohol mixed fuel. An ECU 50 controls the operation of the variable valve train 20 as the alcohol concentration acquired by the alcohol concentration sensor 32 is higher, so that the timing for closing the intake valve 11 approaches an intake bottom dead center BDC of a cylinder 2 in which the intake valve 11 is provided at starting the internal combustion engine 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
