<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ash treatment method and apparatus which inexpensively materialize improvement in the property and state of ash dust so that the amount thereof is reduced to an extent enabling the ash dust to be efficiently treated by, for example, an ash dust recycling process, and which can utilize digestion gas to be generated in a methane fermentation apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The ash treatment method is provided in which ash is treated by charging carbon dioxide to an ash water-washing unit for water-washing the ash generated at incineration equipment for incinerating waste and contacting the carbon dioxide with the generated ash. The ash treatment method is characterized in that the methane fermentation apparatus for methane-fermenting waste is arranged in juxtaposition with the incineration equipment and at least a part of the digestion gas generated in the methane fermentation apparatus is directly or indirectly charged to the ash water-washing unit as a carbon dioxide supply source to contact the digestion gas with the ash. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
