PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel having simple constitution and achieving further thinning of a collapsed state. SOLUTION: The lens barrel 1 has: a fixed frame 2; a rotary frame 3 advancing/retreating while rotating in an optical axis direction relative to the fixed frame 2; and a straight advance guiding frame 4 arranged inside the rotary frame 3 and displaced integrally with the rotary frame 3 in an optical axis direction in such a state that its rotation is regulated. An engaging projection 3c provided to the inner periphery of the rotary frame 3 is fit to be slidable in a circumferential guide groove 4d provided to the outer periphery of the straight advance guiding frame 4, and the straight advance guiding frame 4 is driven to advance/retreat in the optical axis O direction integrally with the rotary frame 3. The engaging projection 3c is inserted through a notch 4c provided to the circumferential groove 4d and engaged with the circumferential guide groove 4d. The lens barrel 1 adopts structure that the front end face 4g of the straight advance guiding frame 4 and the front end face 3g of the rotary frame 3 are both exposed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
