PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate various function setting of a portable terminal and to enhance the operabity of the function highly frequently used by a user. SOLUTION: The operability of the function highly frequently used by each user is enhanced by downloading favorite profiles regarding the function setting of the portable terminal from a profile server on a network and setting functions which are preferentially used among many functions which can be selectively used in the portable terminal. Convenience is increased by organizing pieces of information for optimizing resource allocation such as various control tables and memories inside the portable terminal, etc. for every desired function as profile information, downloading the profile information from an exclusive website, etc. and setting the profile information in the portable terminal so that functions (such as e-mail and browser functions, a camera function) preferentially used by individual users are more promptly, easily and comfortably used.
