PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for precisely finding radial load Fx in front and rear directions, regardless of the fluctuations of the acting point of the load on a rolling bearing unit 25 for supporting a wheel. SOLUTION: A load measurement device finds a direction and an amount of relative displacement of an outer ring 1 and a hub 2, on the basis of a difference existing between output signals of each sensor 22a<SB>1</SB>, 22a<SB>2</SB>, 22b<SB>1</SB>, 22b<SB>2</SB>, 22c<SB>1</SB>, 22c<SB>2</SB>. Next, The device find axial distance L, concerning a proper position for measuring the radial load Fx acting between the outer ring 1 and the hub 2, on the basis of the direction and the amount of the relative displacement of the outer ring 1 and the hub 2.
