PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of automatically changing a user interface for each region, in order to secure suitable performance for each region. SOLUTION: The apparatus acquires information provided in a form of broadcast waves or in a form which can communicate with a predetermined network (step S2 YES). An information different among regions according to a region, where the apparatus is utilized, is extracted out of the acquired information as a regional information (step S3 YES). The extracted regional information is stored (step S4). A user interface is changed based on the regional information(step S6). The present invention can be applied to a television receiver.
