PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker unit which can be made thin, and can facilitate the design for enhancing the sound pressure of a desired low frequency region. SOLUTION: The speaker unit 1A comprises a speaker 3, and an enclosure 2 surrounding the rear of the speaker 3. On the front 2a of the enclosure 2, an opening 23 is provided as communicating between the inside and the outside. In the enclosure 2, a duct 5 for inverting the phase of a sound wave emitted backward from the speaker 3 is arranged to extend substantially linearly on a plane which is substantially parallel with the front 2a of the enclosure 2, and the sound wave having a phase inverted by that duct 5 is emitted from the opening 23.
