PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double suction centrifugal pump enabling stable operation and miniaturization of bearings by inhibiting unstable performance and generation of axial thrust in a low flow range. SOLUTION: The double suction centrifugal pump 11 comprises an impeller 30 in which a partition part 31, blades 32 and side plates 33 are arranged to suck fluid from axial opposite sides and discharge it from an outer periphery, a pump casing 20 which has suction volutes 22 forming suction flow passages of the fluid to the impeller 30 and a discharge volute 21 forming a discharge flow passage of the fluid from the impeller, and wearing members 40 installed on inner peripheral end surfaces of the discharge volute 21 facing suction side ends of the side plates 33. The discharge volute 21 is formed to be axially wider than an outer peripheral surface of the impeller 30. The wearing member 40 has an installation part 41 installed on the inner peripheral end surface of the discharge volute 21, and a closing part 42 which extends from the installation part 41 to a discharge side end of the side plate 33 and closes a gap between the discharge side end of the side plate 33 and the inner peripheral surface of the discharge volute 21.
