PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal adhesion type adhesive tape which is used in reinforcing the fusing welding site of clothes and a curtain, furniture, bedding and the like, flatly joins the joint between raw fabrics by a simple method, has stretchability, makes a feeling of wearing and a feeling of use good, and can render the external appearance of a fabric product neat and tidy. SOLUTION: The adhesive tape has a knitted fabric 2 having monoaxial stretchability obtained by using warps 11, 12, 13 of a thermoplastic resin and knitting the warp 11 to be shogged in the crosswise direction in relation to the knitted loop of the warp 11 in the lengthwise direction in an intertwined manner relatively without room. A hot-melt sheet 6 is integrally joined to one surface of the knitted fabric 2. The hot-melt sheet 6 is composed of a first hot-melt layer 3 attached to one surface of the knitted fabric 2, a thermoplastic resin film 4 for reinforcing stretchability, and a second hot-melt layer 5 attached on the opposite side surface of the first hot-melt layer 3.
