An information collecting system for collecting information on how customers are interested in a commodity comprises count means for counting the number of accesses to commodity information on the commodity that the user has made and storing the number of accesses in a storage area, access totaling means for acquiring commodity identification information for identifying the commodity and the number of accesses from the counting means and totaling the number of accesses for each commodity identification information, and commodity value judging means for judging whether or not the commodity has a potential commodity value by comparing the number of commodities sold associated with the commodity identification information and the number of accesses according to the commodity identification information.
