PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic file management method which prevents artificial mistakes when operating an electronic file.

SOLUTION: The electronic file management method includes; an electronic file name list generation and display step of generating a list of electronic file names and outputting the list to a display part; an electronic file name selection step of selecting an electronic file name from electronic file names included in the list of electronic file names; and a file operation determination step of not only acquiring an electronic file corresponding to the selected electronic file name from a folder but also acquiring folder management information of another folder from a memory, in response to acquisition of file operation instruction information instructing movement or copying of the electronic file name corresponding to the selected electronic file name into the another folder, and determines whether an operation corresponding to the file operation instruction information should be executed or not on the basis of client information included in the acquired electronic file and client information included in the folder management information.
