PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image read unit with a cover mounted to an adjustment section easily, reducing the manufacturing costs of the entire unit, and to provide an image-forming device. SOLUTION: The cover 60 for inverters is formed by bending resin in a prescribed shape that is cut from a bendable and sheet-like flame-retarded resin by mountain folding along respective boundaries 61a-61c. The cover 60 for inverters is fixed by engaging holes 62a, 63a with an engagement at a corresponding inverter side, thus mounting the cover 60 for inverters to the inverter easily without using any tools.
