PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a recovery operation such as a prejet (flushing processing), while shortening a recording time. SOLUTION: When the jetting performance of a recording head 30 is recovered, a liquid droplet jetting apparatus performs first control in which a pulse group 50D, continuously outputting a jet driving pulse 50A with a driving period Ta for jetting ink without reference to actual recording a plurality of number of times, is applied to an actuator 31. After the first control, the liquid droplet jetting apparatus performs second control in which a pulse group 50E, continuously outputting a nonjet driving pulse 50B with the driving period Ta, for unjetting the ink onto recording paper P a plurality of number of times, is applied to the actuator 31, so that only vibrations can be applied to the meniscus of the ink near a nozzle 15.
