PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starter capable of starting an engine with using small starter motor even under a condition where temperature of the engine is low and friction torque is high. SOLUTION: A starter regular rotation drive means 57 continuing drive of the starter motor even if the starter motor stops in a process of regular rotation of a crankshaft at a time of start of the engine, a start ignition control means 58 performing multiple ignition in a cylinder in which ignition position suitable for engine start comes in the process that the starter regular rotation drive means rotates the crankshaft in a regular direction, and a start fuel injection control means 59 performing fuel injection with preparing for ignition performed in the cylinder of the engine after the starter regular rotation drive means starts drive of the starter motor are provided.
