PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device favorable in degassing responsiveness when an inflated and deployed bag body is pressurized. SOLUTION: A vent hole for a breeder is formed on a side cloth part constituting the bag body 14, an active vent 22 is mounted on the side cloth part 16 in correspondence with this vent hole and the vent hole is blocked by a valve element 28 biased by the coil spring 52 on this airbag device 10. Gas in the bag body 14 opens the vent hole by moving the valve element 28 against biasing force of the coil spring 52 when internal pressure of the inflated and deployed bag body 14 exceeds the biasing force of the coil spring 52.
