PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a formed article by bending in which the leg part thereof extended from the base part of the supporting piece or the like of the article is hardly deformed, and to provide a method for forming it. SOLUTION: In a dome lamp bracket 10 being the formed article by bending, when forming by bending is applied to a shift-bending part 52, the base part 40 on the reinforced side is shifted to the side of a base part 18 on the leg side. Thus, the joining part 50 on the reinforced side which is formed at the distal end of the reinforced part 44 is superimposed on the joining part 28 on the leg side which is formed at the distal end of the leg part 20. In this way, when external force along the thickness direction of the leg part 20 acts on the leg part 20, the deformation of the leg part 20 can be prevented or effectively suppressed by means of the resistance of the reinforced part 44. Furthermore, in the developed state of the dome lamp bracket 10, because the joining part 50 on the reinforced side is situated between the base part 18 on the leg side and the joining part 28 on the leg side, the dome lamp bracket 10 in the extended state can be made into one sheet shape.
