PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide arctic boots that can be worn or taken off without using hands and without changing shoes by merely putting in the toe of a shoe through the cross section of the arctic boot. SOLUTION: In consideration of the cold season, and in order for the user to place the arctic boots 1 at his feet and to wear or take them off without using the hands when he moves, a vertical cut surface 3 is provided in the rear of the arctic boots 1 from the upper to the lower part down to the inside of the sole 2 of the arctic boots. Also, with a horizontal section 6 provided at the lower part of the vertical cut surface 3, something heavy like an iron plate 4 is attached to the bottom 2A of the boot sole to prevent the boots from being easily moved. When a shoe presently worn is put in the vertical cut surface 3 in the rear of the arctic boot 1, the vertical cut surface 3 opens to facilitate the wearing of the boot.
