<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control apparatus for piezoelectric actuators wherein circuit efficiency, response, and resolution can be sufficiently enhanced through a simple construction. <P>SOLUTION: A basic driving block B100 feeds back a phase difference aiming at a target phase difference and varies the frequency of a driving signal A in response thereto. In the basic driving block B100, the target phase difference is varied and controlled according to a command value of control signal B. Thus, speed control can be directly achieved with a simple construction without adding any processing circuit to the basic driving block B100. Since the voltage V of the control signal B is linearly varied, in addition, the control period corresponds to the detection period for phase difference, and the resolution can be sufficiently enhanced. When a command value of control signal B is varied, the target phase difference is immediately changed. Therefore, the response can be sufficiently enhanced. Such a reference signal of a higher frequency than a driving pulse signal as used in PWM driving schemes is unnecessary, and voltage is not directly controlled.
