LASER POWER CONTROLLER AND LASER POWER CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser power controller capable of shortening an operation time for stabilizing laser power in the case of controlling the power of a laser.

SOLUTION: Since an output current value is set in output setting means other than output setting means 107 and 108 selected by an outputting means 106 while outputting current to the laser on the basis of information of output current values stored in the output setting means 107 and 108 selected by the outputting means 106, it is possible to immediately update an output current value to the laser and shorten a time for stabilizing laser power even when a laser output based on the output current value has to be updated.
