<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail body which can easily obtain a constitution preventing an entry of the finger in use. <P>SOLUTION: In a core material 5, a sliding space 18 is formed inside, and a core material opening 9 is formed in such a shape as to be longitudinally elongated in a predetermined circumferential position. The outer surface of the core material 5 is wholly coated with a coating layer 6, and a part of the coating layer 6 is also provided as a pair of opening coating parts 20 on folded parts 10 on both the width-direction sides of the core material opening 9. The thickness of each opening covering part 20 makes an interval (the width of the opening 21) between the pair of opening covering parts 20 smaller in dimension than the diameter of a head 34a of a mounting screw 34 which is arranged in the core material 9.
