PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a received signal equalizer capable of obtaining excellent equalizing characteristics under a high speed mobile environment with respect to a frequency region equalizer for carrying out equalizing through the signal processing of a frequency region. SOLUTION: A transmission line response estimate section 2 obtains a transmission line response in the frequency region by each of sub blocks resulting from applying N divisions to a data block in the guard interval insertion unit. Weight calculation sections 5-1 to 5-N calculate an equalization weight of each sub block. A data distribution section 6 distributes a received signal to each sub block as an overlapped received signal used for its equalizing processing. FFT sections 8-1 to 8-N apply M<SB>FFT</SB>point fast Fourier transform to the received signal of each sub block. Filter processing sections 9-1 to 9-N apply equalization to an FFT signal of each sub block. IFFT sections 10-1 to 10-N apply M<SB>FFT</SB>point fast inverse Fourier transform to the equalization signal of each sub block. A data composite section 11 extracts only a required signal in the median of the equalizing signal of each sub block and sequentially arranges the extracted signals to compose them.
