PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device which can increase a heat radiation efficiency by shortening a heat radiation path from a casing to a vehicle, and to provide a casing for the electronic control device. SOLUTION: The electronic control device 100 is mounted to a member such as the side wall 200 of an engine room by thermal conductive brackets 40. The electronic control device 100 comprises a board 21 having a heat generating element 22a or the like mounted thereon and a casing 10 for accommodating the board 21. The casing 10 has mounts 14 for mounting of the brackets 40 thereon.
