PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which prevents reproduction light degradation which can occur in rotational change (linear velocity) accompanying interlayer jump, and the like, in an access involving the interlayer movement, and performs efficient access. SOLUTION: When information, recorded at constant linear velocity in a multilayer disk, is reproduced, in accessing from an inner circumference toward an outer circumference, in S106, radius movement is performed first, and conversely, in accessing from the outer circumference toward the inner circumference, in S102, the interlayer movement is performed first.
