PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side mirror device capable of facilitating parking and turning on a narrow road. SOLUTION: This side mirror device is furnished with a control unit 1 to detect that a winker is put on in turning a vehicle so that a driver's seat comes to be on the outside of a front passenger seat and to control on-and-off of display of a picture image, a camera unit 2 and a display unit 4. A part of a side mirror to display the picture image by the display unit 4 is made into a half mirror 5 to function as a mirror when the picture image is not displayed, and the control unit 1 controls it to display the picture image in turning the vehicle so that the driver's seat comes to be on the outside of the front passenger seat.
