PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer which enables simple data communication and data sharing among a plurality of apparatuses. SOLUTION: A portable memory device 61, which can be connected to the tape printer 10, can also be connected to another tape printer 110 similar in function to the tape printer 10. Thus, print data and a print program, which are utilized by the tape printer 10, can be immediately utilized by another tape printer 110. Since the portable memory device 61, which can be connected to the tape printer 10, is a general-purpose memory card etc., it can also be connected to a general-purpose personal computer 100.
