PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tool holder unit, improving the strength of the periphery of an engaging member for engaging a tool while suppressing the manufacturing cost by fitting a ring made of hard metal to a holder body made of synthetic resin, and further improving the manufacturing efficiency and a tool magazine including it. SOLUTION: This tool holder unit includes a holder body 20 and a ring unit 40. The ring unit 40 includes a ball fastening ring 41 and a retainer 61. A through hole 51 penetrating inside and outside is formed in the ball fastening ring 41, and a steel ball 52 for engaging a tool and a spring 53 for energizing the steel ball 52 to the inner peripheral side of the ball fastening ring 41 are provided in the through hole 51.
