ANNULAR COATING METHOD OF VISCOUS SUBSTANCE AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular coating method of a viscous substance which is suitable for annularly applying a viscous substance such as hot melt without leaving any uncoated part in an overlapping manner while causing neither built-up due to overlapping nor dripping or scattering due to built-up and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: A nozzle 3 having an outer diameter D smaller than the coating width B of a viscous substance and a length L longer than the coating thickness T of the viscous substance is parted from an object body to be coated 1 at a distanceδin a range from 1 to 1.4 times as long as the coating thickness and a coating body and the nozzle 3 are relatively rotated one or more turns from the discharge starting position of the viscous substance to apply the viscous substance in overlapping matter and the overlapped part 2a is leveled by the nozzle 3. Accordingly, neither built-up due to overlapping nor dripping or scattering due to built-up is caused and annular coating without leaving any un-coated portion can be carried out.
