PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark extinguisher with a simple structure for saving an installation space and capable of removing dust in a sparks-containing waste gas to solve problems such as burning of a bag in a dust collector in downstream side. SOLUTION: The extinguisher comprises a dust collision plate 6 crossing the flow of a waste gas and installed in a main body 3 with a prescribed size connected to a duct 2 for pneumatically sending dust d and a water tank 5 installed downstream of the installation point of the dust collision plate 6 for bringing the sparks and dust d into collision against the dust collision plate 6 and dropping them to the water tank 5 to extinguish sparks and/or collect dust.
