PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fraud preventing method in a game machine achieved at a low cost and based on an optical sensor with high reliability. SOLUTION: This game machine includes a token passage for rolling tokens from a token inlet to a token outlet, a token counting sensor provided in the outlet side of the token passage and detecting the tokens, and an optical sensor provided in the token passage and detecting the movements of objects in the token passage; and is provided with a token selector selecting and sending the tokens supplied from the token inlet, a first processing part counting the tokens based on the output of the token counting sensor, and a second processing part determining the moving direction of the objects in the token passage based on the output of the optical sensor, receiving the counting result of the tokens from the first processing part, determining the consistency of the result with the moving direction of the objects based on the output of the optical sensor and detecting the fraud.
