PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly detecting the phosphation of a substrate peptide with an inexpensive substance by a simple manner not needing a special technique, thereby making it possible to especially comprehensively profile movements in various protein kinases. SOLUTION: This method for detecting the phosphation of a peptide or protein immobilized on a substrate is characterized by treating the phosphated peptide or protein with a chelating compound such as a compound of formula (I) and then detecting the fluorescent or chemical light emission of the treated compound.
