An accelerator test device for testing the performance of an accelerator has a generation section (10) including a radiation source and a collimator member for causing charged particles radiated from the radiation source to enter into the accelerator while limiting the position and direction of the charged particles, and also has a measurement section (20) for measuring at least one of the position, traveling direction, arrival time, energy, and momentum of the charged particles that are made to enter from the generating section (10) into the accelerator and advance in the accelerator. The accelerator test device and accelerator test method facilitate testing of an accelerator.
