<p>A radio communication system employs a hybrid ARQ and uses a plurality of streams for transmitting and receiving radio packets. For example, the radio communication system includes: a transmitter (10) having packet generation means for generating a plurality of transmission packets from single transmission data and arranging them in a spatial direction so that the plurality of transmission packets can be simultaneously transmitted, and transmission means for subjecting each of the transmission packets arranged in the spatial direction individually to a predetermined transmission process and simultaneously transmitting them by using the corresponding streams; and a receiver (13) having decoding means for decoding the transmission data into original data from the reception packet, and retransmission control means for generating an ACK signal and a NACK signal according to the decoding result, wherein an error detection threshold value is arranged for each transmission data and when the number of errors detected by the decoding means exceeds the error detection threshold value, a NACK signal is returned.</p> |
