Antenna device (40) includes antenna element (1), high-frequency circuit (4) connected to the antenna element (1), first ground section (6) connected to the high-frequency circuit (4), reactance circuit (8) connected to the first ground section (6); and second ground section (7) connected to the reactance circuit (8). Employing the structure above allows the antenna device (40) to have a compact body and to easily control antenna characteristics, such as radiation characteristics and input impedance characteristics.
